I think I forogt about this thing...Ah well, I havent blogged anywhere in at least a month. I think it's a dying art.

A couple days ago I was flipping through the archives of my MSN Space, and I came across quite a few blogs that I wrote just for the sake of being funny. They made me laugh even though I wrote them, so I decided to try and write another one and guess what came out?

Nothing.

Not a darn thing. I think Ive lost the funny...

Well, until next time I remember this thing, adieu.

Happy 2007

Well, at the request of the one person who reads this, I will write in this white box on my screen. I don't really know what to write. College is a blast. Well...everything except the actual learning. The guys dorm of full of craziness. Mattress jumping, 2Am dodgeball, bottle-of-water tag, and a bunch of jokes and horseplay.

We did the coolest thing ever last night. My new buddy Stephen showed us how 4 guys can lift anyone off the ground with 2 fingers apiece. Shortly thereafter we lifted Stephen himself. (He's a very big boy!!!)

Classes are mediocre. We just finished the first Block 'Bible Intro' which sucked pretty bad. Now we're doing 'Communication' which is basically just an English class, but it's better than BI.

Other than that it's just been alot of hanging out and burning things. Hopefully I'll be able to make it home for Thanksgiving. There's a few people here that are going to the Hat and they might have an extra seat. That'd be awesome.

As for that silly Jelea girl, my interenet here sucks, so I dont know when you sent that E-mail. If you have left, I hope you have a blast, if not...well...still have a blast!

And when's Thanksgiving? Are you gonna be in the Hat for that..??

At college now...

Been keeping busy, just unloaded 20-some new beds for all the people in dorms, and now I gotta go see some people I haven't seen in awhile.

I'll try to keep this up as much as possible, but I wont make any promises.

Well, here we are at week 2. I'd like to restate my little disclaimer.
This is my site, I don't care if you like it, I hope it makes you think...

What's this week's topic you ask?

What is it with christians and secular music?

It's probably one of the most senseless things I've ever experienced. People are always complaining to me about secular music. How The devil speaks to you through it or It makes me feel bad about myself .

If you have these problems, I don't think it's because the songs you listen to aren't "Godly enough" or whatever, I think it's just a negative personality listening to the wrong type of music.
Music is about your own personal taste. If there's one thing I hate, it's looking through a friend's CD album and finding all the same CD's that everyone else has. How can you express yourself through the music that you're listening to if you're trapped under the influence of christian music. Well, trapped is far too strong a word, but at least it gets my point across.

This is what we're facing.

If you like rock, you probably have at least one of these CD's
-Thousand Foot Krutch
-Disciple
-Skillet

If you like Worship:
-Hillsong United
-Michael W Smith
-Chris Tomlin

Alternative:
-Kutless
-Audio Adrenaline
-Newsboys

Rap/Hip-Hop:
-Grits-
KJ-52

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that these bands/performers aren't good at what they do, but how much variety can you really have? You have the above bands (and a bunch of nearly identical others) or you can listen to your hair grow. Nothing in between.

There is so much more you can experience if you just don't let bad music get to you and ruin it all.

Morale: If you don't like secular music. That's fine, but don't give some garbage excuse about it. Maybe learn to experience a little more variety in life?

So, I've been thinking quite a bit on what I should have my first post be about, I don't care if you like it, I hope it makes you think...

This weeks topic is going to be Over-Spiritualism. Now, I know everyone who's ever stepped foot into a church has seen this, whether you know it or not.

Overspiritualism is one of my biggest problems with organized religion. Nothing makes me cringe like someone giving a testimony about something they consider a huge blessing and is in God's will, for example, an aquaintence of mine recently bought a new car, he didn't need a new car, he was just sick of his old one. Now, it's a pretty nice car, and I congratulated him on his purchase, but when he uttered the horrific words, I wanted to smack him.

What words did he say?

"Yep. God really blessed me with this vehicle"

Im sorry, what? God blessed you with this vehicle? I'm pretty sure anyone could get a vehicle if they saved as long as you had. It's not exactly a hard blessing to achieve if you're simply going out and buying it.

"Hey guys! Check out this awesome Ice cream cone God just blessed me with!"

It's ridiculous. A blessing would be if God had brought the vehicle into your life. Another friend of mine once recieved a car from someone is his church for the grand total of...a dollar. That's right, One Dollar. (Canadian no less!) This is what I would call a blessing. It's something he needed to get to work and church, it was never brought to the seller's attention that he was in the market for a car. It was as simple a thought process as;

He has no car + I have an old car = I feel like sowing into his future.

It's a beautiful thing when you witness a true blessing, but when I see someone being ungrateful for what they have because they don't need it, they deserve a slap.

So, that's about it for today. Leave a comment if you want. If you want to argue the point or try to change my mind, please take your thoughts elsewhere as I'm not going to waste my time on it.

So, I felt like starting a new little site. It's not a blog, it's just some random thoughts I figured I'd throw togther.

I'll try to update this once a week or so, but I can't promise anything.

So, stay tuned for the next couple of days for my first post!
